Löffler, Sigrid#

b. Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic (then Aussig), June 26, 1942, culture journalist. Grew up in Vienna and studied English, philosophy and pedagogics. From 1972 to 1993 worked for the magazine "profil", since then freelance journalist. 1988-2000 in the "Literarisches Quartett" of the ZDF (German TV channel); founder (2000) and editor of the literary magazine "Literaturen"; correspondent for the newspaper "Die Presse". Awarded the Austrian State Prize for Cultural Journalism in 1992.
