Lampersberg, Gerhard eigentlich G. Lampersberger#
b. Hermagor (Carinthia), July 5, 1928, composer. Follows the principles of the free, extended twelve-tone technique in the tradition of A. Webern. Supported Austrian authors (C. Lavant, T. Bernhard, P. Turrini) during the 1950s and 1960s. Was described in the roman à clef "Holzfaellen" (1984) by T. Bernhard and procured a provisional injunction against the sale of this novel; his "Tonhof" in Maria Saal (Carinthia) became an important meeting place for artists.
