Landschulen#

Landschulen ("rural schools"), schools in rural areas, usually with a limited number of pupils, so that children of different ages were mostly gathered in one single classroom and taught by a single teacher. The pedagogical difficulties facing teachers at Landschulen resulted in a major reform Rural School Reform initiated by the Ministry of Education in 1946.
