Lebaldt von und zu Lebenwaldt, Adam Johann Christoph, b. Sarleinsbach (Upper Austria), Nov. 15, 1624, d. Leoben (Styria), May 20, 1696; eminent epigrammatist, teacher of medicine in Salzburg, physician in Graz, Admont, Rottenmann and Leoben. Was raised to nobility for his merits as a physician during a plague epidemic (1659), 1679 awarded the honorary title of Poeta laureatus by Emperor Leopold I; opposed charlatanism and superstition.
