Kufstein (Tyrol), Jan. 1, 1994, press photographer; made documentaries; numerous reports about his journeys to the Sahara desert, Abyssinia and India. 1937-1941 editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Berliner Illustrierten Zeitung". From 1945 of "Quick" and "Weltbild" magazines. 1962-1976 documentaries (mostly for the Bavarian Broadcasting Company).
