Leitl, Christoph#

Leitl, Christoph, b. Linz (Upper Austria), March 29, 1948, entrepreneur and politician (OeVP, Austrian People´s Party). Since 1977 managing partner of the company L., a well-established producer of building materials (2nd largest in Austria). Introduced new forms of employees´ stock ownership. 1990-2000 member of the Upper Austrian Landtag and Provincial Councillor for Economic Matters in Upper Austria; from 1995-2000 deputy provincial governor, since 1999 Federal Chairman of the Oesterreichischer Wirtschaftsbund (Austrian Economic League) and since 2000 president of the Wirtschaftskammer Oesterreich.
