Leitner, Karl Gottfried Ritter von#
b. Graz, Nov. 18, 1800, d. Graz (Styria), June 20, 1890, author and publicist. 1837-1854 first Secretary to the Estates, editor of the newspaper "Stmk. Zeitschrift", 1858-1864 curator of the Joanneum, co-founded the Historical Association for Styrian Friendship with P. Rosegger; some ballads set to music by F. Schubert.
