Lingenau#
Lingenau, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Bregenz, alt. 685 m, pop. 1,327, area 6.89 km2, on plateau between Subersach stream and Bregenzerach river in the Vordere Bregenzerwald mountain region. - Health resort; dairy, beverage industry, mainly summer tourism (47,010 overnight stays). - Parish church rebuilt after fire between 1868-1871, altered in 1963; Baroque St. Anna chapel (1722) outside of the village; roofed wooden Geschwendtobel bridge across the Subersach stream, built by A. Negrelli in 1830, high-level bridge (1964-1968, 210 m span). Farmhouses of the Vorderwalder type.
