Literar-Mechana#

Literar-Mechana and LVG (Literarische Verwertungsgesellschaft) are copyright collecting societies which operate on the basis of the law of copyright societies of 1936; the LVG was founded in 1936, the Literar-Mechana in 1959. The Literar-Mechana collects loyalties on behalf of authors and publishers for the exploitation of copyright subsidiary rights. Membership is open to all Austrians; numerous mutual assistance treaties with associated societies in other countries.
