März, Eduard#
b. Lemberg (now Lvov, Ukraine), Dec. 21, 1908, d. July 9, 1987, economist. At first employed as technician in a factory, studied at the Hochschule fuer Welthandel (University of World Trade) in Vienna and lectured at adult education institutions in Vienna. Emigrated to the USA in 1938, studied at Harvard University, then given a professorship at the University of Massachusetts and Union College. Returned to Austria in 1953, joined the Chamber of Labour in 1956, where he established the economics division, which he headed until 1973.
