Mandl, Felix#
b. Bruenn (now Brno, Czech Republic), Nov. 8, 1892, d. Vienna, Oct. 15, 1957, surgeon. Studied and practised medicine in Vienna, emigrated in 1938, lived and worked as university professor and physician in Jerusalem from 1939-47; returned to Vienna and became head of the Department of Surgery at the Franz Joseph hospital in Vienna in 1947. From 1948 Vice-President of the International College of Surgeons (USA); member of the Vienna Landtag (SPOe); 1954-1957 member of the Vienna Landtag and the Vienna Municipal Council.
