Mansfeld, Heinrich Franz#
Mansfeld, Heinrich Franz, d. 1715, statesman. Was president of the Court Council of War until 1698 and later Conference Minister to Leopold I; in 1686 the principality of Fondi near Naples was bestowed upon him by Spain; it remained in the family until 1751. In 1697 he commissioned J. L. v. Hildebrandt to build a summer palace in Vienna. The palace was bought by Prince A. F. Schwarzenberg in 1715 and is now known as Palais Schwarzenberg.
