Mariasdorf#

Mariasdorf, Burgenland, market town in the district of Oberwart, alt. 412 m, pop. 1,315, area 20.54 km2, situated in hilly territory south of the market town of Bernstein; brown coal mining in the past. - The Gothic parish church situated high above Mariasdorf was built around 1400, redesigned in Baroque style in 1666 and again adapted to Gothic designs in 1882; high altar, pulpit and font made of glazed majolica (1884); Late Gothic sacrament house (1483).
