b. Vienna, April 18, 1721, d. Goess (Styria), Dec. 18, 1810, educator. Member of the Piarist order. When the Jesuit order was dissolved he reorganized the Latin School (lateinische Schulen) according to his "Anonymous Plan" - (1775), which stayed in force until the beginning of the 19th century. This plan was characterized by considerations of utility, (since there was a lack of teachers, studies were shortened to 5 years) and philanthropic ideas (the teacher in the role of a father, studies to be made easier by appropriate teaching methods etc.). 1786 given the title of Cathedral Provost at Leoben.
