Matiasek, Hellmuth#
b. Vienna, May 15, 1931, director, husband of the actress C. Froboess. Studied drama, German language and literature, philosophy. 1953 founder and head of an avant-garde theatre. 1962 intendant of the Salzburg "Landestheater", 1964 intendant-general of the Staatstheater Braunschweig, 1972 Director of the Otto-Falckenberg's school of acting in Munich, 1978 intendant-general of the "Staedtische Buehnen Wuppertal", 1983-1996 intendant of the "Staatstheater am Gaertnerplatz" in Munich. Guest director at various theatres in Germany and Austria. Was awarded the Prize of Austrian Theatre Managers in 1963.
