Maurer, Hermann#
b. Vienna, April 26, 1941, mathematician and informatics expert, 1963 to 1966 worked at the IBM laboratory in Vienna, 1971 to 1977 professor at the University of Karlsruhe, since then at the Graz University of Technology. 1983-1998 Chairman of the Research Institute for Applied Information Processing of the Austrian Computer Society. Has developed an optical display storage, the screen text computer MUPID and works on hypermedia systems (HyperWave) for Internet use.
