Mayr, Franz#

b. Knittelfeld (Styria), Jan. 26, 1779, d. Graz (Styria), April 6, 1847, founded the iron processing plant at Donawitz by building the "Franzenshuette" iron mill in 1837. His son, Franz Mayr von Melnhof Senior, enlarged the company.
