Mieminger Plateau#
Mieming Plateau, Tirol, elevated plain at the southern foot of the Mieming Mountains, extends along the Upper Inn Valley, from Oetztal valley to Telfs; sunny low mountain terrace, formed by a mountain slide of the Mieming Mountains in the postglacial age. Summer tourist resorts Mieming (alt. 807 m, pop. 2,202), Wildermieming (alt. 872 m, pop. 684) and Obsteig (alt. 991 m, pop. 766); extends in southwest direction into the Tschirgant Mountains (2,370 m); autobahn tunnel (Roppener Tunnel, 5,100 m long) through the southern foot of the Tschirgant mountain.
