Morold, Max eigentlich M. von Millenkovich, auch M. von Millenkovich-Morold#
b. Vienna, March 2, 1866, d. Baden (Lower Austria), Feb. 5, 1945, dramatist, music and theatre critic. Son of S. Milow, civil servant in the Ministry of Education, 1917/18 manager of Burgtheater; chairman of the German-Nationalist "M. Circle". Author of several libretti (with the composer J. Reiter), biographies and works on R. Wagner; "Grand old man" of German Nationalist literature in Austria and editor of the anthology "Dichterbuch - Deutscher Glaube, deutscher Sehen und deutscher Fuehlen in Oesterreich" (1933), which for the first time brought together the works of German Nationalist authors of the 1st Republic.
