Morré, Karl#
b. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Nov. 8, 1832, d. Graz (Styria), Feb. 21, 1897, dramatist, popular writer, politician. Wrote singspiels, burlesques and farces in stylised dialect and created "Nullerl" (1885) a classic popular play which was staged several times. In his publications ("Die Arbeiterpartei und der Bauernstand", 1891) he defended the social concerns of the rural population.
