Muskete, Die#

Muskete, Die, ("The Musket"), satirical weekly paper, 1905 founded by W. von Appel in Vienna, with illustrations of high artistic value (e.g. by F. Schoenpflug and A. Kubin), target group were mainly officers of the Imperial Army. Among its authors were F. T. Csokor, P. Rosegger, E. Friedell, P. Altenberg, A. Wildgans, H. Hesse, M. Jelusich, R. Hohlbaum, M. Brod and R. Musil. Ceased publication in 1927.
