Neugebauer, Max, b. Bernartice, Czech Republic (then Barzdorf), Sept. 8, 1900, d. Korneuburg (Lower Austria), March 9, 1971, teacher, specialist in adult education, politician (Austrian Socialist Party SPOe); 1945-1966 member of the Nationalrat, 1960 president of the Vienna board of education, played an important role in the realisation of the 1962 school reform.
