Neukunstgruppe#
Neukunstgruppe, group of artists around E. Schiele mainly consisting of young artists (A. Peschka, A. Faistauer, R. Kalvach and others) that had left the Vienna Academy in the summer of 1909. They aimed at a more straightforward form of artistic expression in comparison to other artistic tendencies prevailing at the time. Their first exhibition took place in the rooms of Gustav Pisko in Vienna, after the second exhibition the group kept in touch only sporadically.
