Neuland#
Neuland, Catholic Youth Movement Association founded in 1921 with the objective of "renewing everything in Jesus" (Pius X). Developed from the German League of Students, it was shaped by the priests M. Pfliegler and K. Rudolf. It played a decisive part in the liturgical movement in Austria and followed the Christian-German concept of national culture. However, Neuland was the first Catholic association that declared that membership in the Neuland was incompatible with involvement in National Socialism; disbanded in 1938, re-established in 1948.
