Orsini-Rosenberg, Johann Andreas Graf#
Orsini-Rosenberg, Count Johann Andreas, b. St. Andrae (Carinthia), Sept. 7, 1600, d. Carinthia, Jan. 4, 1667, important representative of the Catholic nobility in Carinthia. Remained loyal to the Habsburgs during the Thirty Years´ War and supported the Counter-Reformation in Carinthia. During his lifetime the family Orsini-Rosenberg was raised to the baronage (in 1633) and later to the rank of count (in 1648). From 1650 he built the palace at Klagenfurt; it has been the city hall since 1918.
