Osterfestspiele, Salzburger#

Salzburg Easter Festival, founded 1967 by Herbert von Karajan, an association headed by Karajan, and later by his widow, Eliette von Karajan, which is separate from the Summer Festival ( Salzburg Festival). Karajan was the artistic director and chief conductor up to his death. The performances have been under artistic directorship of C. Abbado, who is to remain until 2002. S. Rattle will be taking over in 2003.
