Poettelsdorf, province of Burgenland, municipality in the district of Mattersburg, alt. 216 m, pop. 587, area 7.86 km2, wine-growing municipality situated on the upper River Wulka, north-east of the district of Mattersburg. Largest turkey rearing and processing centre in Austria, wineries. - Neo-Gothic Protestant parish church (Augsburg Confession) built in 1900/1901; Catholic filial church (consecration in 1813) with miracle-working representation of the Virgin of the 17th  century and large wooden statues.
