Palfinger AG#

Palfinger AG, the world's largest producer of loading cranes for trucks, located in Salzburg-Bergheim, listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange since 1999. Established in 1932 by Richard Palfinger as a small repair shop in Schaerding (Upper Austria), the company moved to the city of Salzburg in 1945, and started producing cranes in 1959. Taken over by Hubert Palfinger in 1964, the company specialised in producing fast-travel hydraulic cranes. Production plants and sales companies in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia and Canada. In 1998 the Palfinger Group achieved turnover of ATS 2.68 billion with a staff of 1,268, export rate more than 90%.
