Palmers Textil AG, textile company producing hosiery and underwear, established in Innsbruck in 1914. 108 branches and 180 shops in Austria, 20 international franchise partners, 1,500 employees. Sales in 1993 amounted to about 13 million items, ladies' underwear accounting for more than half of this volume.

Walter Michael Palmers (1903-1983), who expanded the family business considerably; was kidnapped in 1977 ( Political Extremism).
