Pereira, Heinrich Freiherr von#

b. July 22, 1773, d. Baden (Lower Austria), Sept. 23, 1835, banker; adopted son of Nathan Adam von Arnstein and Fanny von Arnstein, whose daughter he married in 1802, father of Ludwig von Pereira-Arnstein. Owned a bank at Braeunerstrasse 9 in Vienna's first district and played a role in establishing the Austrian railway network. His wife Henriette von Arnstein (1780-1859) carried on the tradition of literary-musical salons begun by her mother in the Biedermeier era.
