Petznek, Elisabeth Erzherzogin Elisabeth Marie#

b. Laxenburg (Lower Austria), Sept. 2, 1883, d. Vienna, March 16, 1963, daughter of the Crown Prince Rudolf. Married Prince O. W. Windisch-Graetz (b. Oct. 7, 1873, d. Lugano (Switzerland), Dec. 25, 1952) in 1902. After an unhappy marriage they separated in 1924 and divorced in 1948. P. joined the Social Democrats in October 1925 ("Red Archduchess"), became life-partner of the teacher and Social Democratic politician Leopold P. (b. Bruck an der Leitha, June 30, 1881, d. Vienna, July 27, 1956, 1945-1947 President of the Court of Audit), whom she married May 4, 1948.
