Pfleumer, Fritz#
b. Salzburg, March 20, 1881, d. Dresden (Germany), Aug. 29, 1945, engineer. Specialised in paper and synthetics engineering; his "Lautschrifttraeger" (sound recorder and transmitter), patented in 1928, was the beginning of magnetic tape technology. In the same year built the first tape recorder in the world. 1935 his magnetic tape recorder was presented at the Grand German Radio Exhibition.
