Poschacher, Anton#

b. Mauthausen (Upper Austria), Nov. 1, 1841, d. Mauthausen, March 26, 1904, industrialist. His father, whose name was the same, founded the granite works in Mauthausen in 1839. From 1876 A. P. the son took over the family business, becoming sole owner of the biggest granite company of the Austro-Hungarian empire with several quarries, which he led to even greater economic success. He established company housing and a pension plan for his workers.
