Pottendorfer Linie#
Pottendorf Railway, branches off the Southern Railway at Wien-Meidling (Vienna-Meidling), originally planned as rail link with the Levant, as was the Aspang Railway Line, but in 1875 linked up at Pottendorf with the railway line between Gramatneusiedl and Wiener Neustadt, which had been built in 1871; both railway lines were run by the Suedbahngesellschaft (Southern Railway Company, nationalised in 1924). Now operated as a by-pass line to absorb part of the traffic on the Southern Railway line between Vienna and Wiener Neustadt.
