Pusarnitz, Carinthia, village in the district of Spittal an der Drau, alt. 601 m, cadastral community belonging to the market town of Lurnfeld situated on the north-west edge of the town limits. - Mushroom cultivation. - First documented mention in 1072; late Gothic parish church with partially Romanesque masonry, high altar (18th century) in a pillared design with figural ornamentation, carved gravestone figure (17th century) and legendary grave belonging to the "Holy Man from Niklai" (the Nigglaigraben trench joins the Drau Valley near Feistritz); ruins of Feldsberg (first documented mention in 1166) and Hohenburg Castles. - The Peace of Pusarnitz in 1460 ended the dispute on the heritage of the Counts of Cilli between Emperor Friedrich III and Count Johann von Goerz.
