Pustritz#
Pustritz, Carinthia, scattered houses in the district of Voelkermarkt, alt. 785 m, situated north of Griffen; cadastral community belonging tot he market town of Griffen. Parish and pilgrimage church Mariae Himmelfahrt (dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary) (first documented mention in 1196, redone in the late Gothic style from 1430 until approx. 1500) with wall paintings (1480) and a richly ornamented Baroque high altar (dating from the first half of the 17th century) with portals used during the offertory procession and a late Gothic Madonna (around 1500), auxiliary altar with a figure of St. Catherine, linen epitaph (1595) of the Proedl family; presbytery (formerly Proedl Castle, 16th century).
