Rössler, Carl eigentlich Franz Reßner#
Roessler, Carl (real name: Franz Ressner), b. Vienna, May 25, 1864, d. London (United Kingdom), Feb. 13, 1948, playwright, actor and director. From 1906 lived mainly in Munich and Berlin; emigrated to Vienna in 1933, 1939 to London. His comedy about the Rothschild family "Die fuenf Frankfurter" (1912) and his military comedy "Der Feldherrnhuegel" (1910, with A. Roda Roda) won him worldwide acclaim. As "Vaeterchen Roessler" featured in many anecdotes himself.
