Raggal#

Raggal, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Bludenz, alt. 1,015 m, pop. 810, area 41.69 km2, bi-seasonal tourism (105,540 overnight stays in 1992, mainly during summer) situated in the Grosses Walsertal Valley, on the left bank of the Lutz river, at the foot of Hoher Frassen Mountain (alt. 1,979 m). Storage basin of the Oberstufe Lutz power plant ( Ludesch), Walser multi purpose hall. - Originally settled by Rhaeto-Romans, from around 1300 settled by Valaisans; documented mention in 1387 as "Rungael". Parish church in Baroque style with Gothic choir, Baroque church in Marul, Valaisan Paarhof type of farmhouse (18th  century).
