Rathausmann#
Rathausmann (= "Town Hall Man"), one of Vienna's landmarks, 3.4 m high; representation of a standard-bearer in armour, placed on top of the tower of the town hall (98 m) in 1882. The Rathausmann was crafted in embossed copper by the craftsman A. Nehr after a model by the sculptor F. von Gastell (designed by F. von Schmidt). It was restored in 1985.
