Regional-Abkommen#
Regional-Abkommen, also called Accordino (Italian for "little accord"), treaty made in 1949 on the basis of the Paris Agreement between Austria and Italy in order to mitigate the economic effects of the separation of northern and southern Tirol. It was aimed at facilitating the exchange of goods between Tirol and Vorarlberg on the one hand and the South Tirol/Alto Adige - Trentino region on the other. Austria´s accession to the European Union brought with it economic liberalisation that rendered large parts of the accord obsolete.
