Reichenau im Muehlkreis, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung, alt. 667 m, pop. 904, area 9.53 km2, situated in the uppermost part of the valley of the Grosse Gusen river. - Agricultural machinery trade. - Late-Gothic parish church, western part with tower built 1881-1883, Baroque high altar (1730); pillory (1639); small castle from the 16th century, with former keep, Gothic chapel, curtain wall (1521), beautiful courtyard.
