Relin, Veit#
Relin, Veit, b. Linz (Upper Austria), Sept. 24, 1926, actor, director, theatre manager, married to Maria Schell. Studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and trained as an actor at the Reinhardt Seminar drama school, 1945 acting debut in Innsbruck; played in Linz and Vienna (1946/47 at the "Insel", 1947-1949 and 1959-1961 at the Burgtheater, 1950-1952 at the Scala), 1952/53 worked at the Salzburg Landestheater as well as in Switzerland and Germany; 1961-1967 ran the Ateliertheater am Naschmarkt in Vienna, from 1976 the "smallest theatre in Germany" in Sommerhausen (Franconia) as artistic director, actor, director and set designer; worked together with his wife in numerous film and television productions.
