Romano von Ringe, Johann Julius#
b. Constance (Germany), Oct. 10, 1818, d. Vienna, April 14, 1882, architect. Promoted by Prince Metternich; from the 1840s collaborated with A. Schwendenwein von Lonauberg, though it is unclear to what extent. R. and Schwendenwein specialized in the architecture of castles and luxurious houses. They combined the late Romantic and the early Ringstrasse periods and their works displayed baroque elements from very early on.
