Romedius, Heiliger#
Romedius, Saint, feast day January 15, lived as a hermit on Nonsberg mountain (South Tyrol) in the 11th century; probably a member of the Andechser family. In 1795, permission was given to read masses in his name in the diocese of Brixen/Bressanone, which at that time included the Northern Tyrol. His relics used to be kept at Georgenberg-Fiecht, but were given to the parish of Thaur (Tyrol) in 1851 and are now kept at the pilgrimage church of St. Peter and St. Paul (Romedikirche).
