Ruden, Carinthia, municipality in the district of Voelkermarkt, alt. 465 m, pop. 1,677, area 42.36 km2, situated on the Woelfnitzbach stream east of Voelkermarkt. - Machinery plant. - Late Gothic parish church (1511) with Gothic wood-carved figure of St. Agnes (around 1410), altars around 1780; ruins of Castle Weissenegg (first documented mention 1243) with a round tower (with walls up to 2 m thick) and main castle (13th -15th centuries).
