Sacré Cœur#
Sacre Coeur, Gesellschaft der Ordensfrauen vom Heiligsten Herzen Jesu (RSCJ, Society of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart). Founded in Paris in 1800 by Magdalena Sophia Barat after the French Revolution; approved by the pope in 1826, the society spread all over the world. Besides special devotion to the Sacred Heart, the society focuses on teaching and education; first establishment in Austria 1846 in Graz, later branches in Riedenburg-Bregenz (1854), Vienna (1868), Pressbaum (1892), Innsbruck (1970) and Wien-Heiligenstadt (1973).
