Sadniggruppe#
Sadnig Mountains, Carinthia, southern foothills of the Hohe Tauern Range, in the west, south and south-east surrounded by Upper Moell Valley. Highest peak of the Goldberg Mountains: Sadnig mountain (alt. 2,745 m). Divided into various ridges (villages of Innerfragant and Ausserfragant) by the valleys of the Kolmitzenbach and Astenbach streams. Numerous lakes including Lake Aicheneggsee, Lake Sagaser See, Lake Schwarzsee. Since 1973 parts of the Sadnig Mountains have become part of the Bretterich National Park and the Grossfragant Conservation Area. Mountain refuges: Sadnighaus (alt. 1,878 m), Fraganter Huette (alt. 1,817 m).
