Saliger, Rudolf#
Saliger, Rudolf, b. Leskovec nad Moravicí, Czech Republic (then Spachendorf), Feb. 1, 1873, d. Vienna, Jan. 31, 1958, pioneer in reinforced concrete construction. 1909-1940 professor of reinforced concrete construction and statics at the University of Technology in Vienna, also worked as a civil engineer (Dianabad public swimming baths, the Vienna Stadium, a multistorey building in Herrengasse, Vienna, the original Reichsbruecke bridge, film studios Am Rosenhuegel), 1931 in Russia.
