Saxen#
Saxen, Upper Austria, market town in the district of Perg, alt. 242 m, pop. 1,606, area 18.99 km2, situated on the edge of the Machland in the south-eastern part of the Muehlviertel region. - Slaughterhouse, commercial enterprises dealing in hides and furs, carpenter´s shop, transport businesses, some tourism. A. Strindberg museum. - Gothic hall church of St. Stephanus, with two aisles (Romanesque core), Baroque interior with late Gothic statue of St. Sebastian and Gothic stained glass windows (2nd quarter of the 15th century).
