Schäffler, Theodor Heinrich Otto#

Schaeffler, Theodor Heinrich Otto, b. Unterheimbach (Germany), Oct. 15, 1838, d. Vienna, July 31, 1928, engineer, inventor and businessman. 1869 established a telegraph construction company in Vienna, 1880-1892 built telephone exchanges and 1890 a punch card counting machine for the evaluation of the census; 1896 the company was sold to K. A. Czeija and F. Nissl.
